A Day Without Shoes

The grass was frosty, so were our our feet.

The team of Polymorph decided to go without shoes for one day, donating our shoes for people less privileged than us.

It was everything but easy. Our toes went dead and at the end of the day we couldn’t feel our feet. With challenges like walking over gravel on my way to the car or simply standing on the grass, brought me back to earth. Making me realise that even though I may not own the perfect pair of stilettos or brand named boots, there’s people out there who don’t even own a pair of sandals.

We decided to donate our shoes and an amount of cash to St Christoper, Home for pensioners.

“We have been in this industry for 10 years. It’s a 24/7 job.” Toekie Thorne-Falck, founder of the home, says. “We believe we’ve been put here with the purpose to realise how blessed we are every day.”

Thanks to the Day without shoes campaign, we are much more thankful for simple things like shoes, but after visiting St Christopher – Home for pensioners, we can really say that there’s nothing more important than family.
